Ultramarine Magazine is one of UK's best marine fish magazines. The company has been in business since December 2006 providing clients with high quality magazines consisting of articles, photos, interviews and many more. Ultramarine Magazine is becoming the most known and competitive magazine in the UK in the specific area it covers. This is mostly owed to the fact that the magazine is created by enthusiastic and experienced writers.

As editors of a successful niche magazine the owners of Ultramarine Magazine had found that chasing outstanding debt for advertisements, sponsorship and magazine supplements had become a major task and a distraction to their main focus. The editors took the decision to focus on what they are good at and outsource credit control to the experts.

Solution

TAK worked closely with Ultramarine to develop a credit control service which would suit their preferred way of working. As a relatively small business Ultramarine relied predominantly on the use of spreadsheets for recording company information. TAK agreed a process which would allow Ultramarine to continue working in this way with all information being recorded on Excel and regular reports sent to Ultramarine to update them of collection actions and results.

Benefits

TAK provided a credit control service in the name of Ultramarine working pro-actively on one day per week, but answering customer calls during UK office hours. Hence Ultramarine received the benefits of a full-time experienced credit control department at a fraction of the cost. TAK were able to improve cashflow at Ultramarine and allow the editors to concentrate on their passion, producing a high quality publication for the continued enjoyment of their readers.
